Most people think that to be successful in internet marketing (or indeed anything) you need to have a large degree of skill, expertise or years of experience. While this certainly helps, actually whether you're successful or not is 80% down to your attitude and only 20% aptitude. So if you really want to be a success in internet marketing then get your attitude right first and you're 80% there.
Conceive. Believe. Achieve.
This is quite unbelievable when you think about it, and it has certainly given me the impetus to spend time working on my attitude. You know when everything is going well and you're 'in your flow'? Well that's when your attitude is truly serving you. Something I do every single day is to write an Attitude Journal. By writing an Attitude Journal on a daily basis, it puts a smile on my face, gets me in a great mood and 9 times out of 10 I have a fantastic day and achieve what I set out to do.
How to write yourAttitude Journal
Very simply take a notebook (get a really nice one that you use only for this task, not too big so you can carry it around with you easily, mine is A5, red with black spots!), and start with the following headings (leaving space under each one):
Then, underneath each heading you simply write your lists.
Make sure it's current - ie what you are grateful for in your life at the time of writing. If you follow goal setting practises then writing what you want to attract into your life will probably come very easily to you, and, as this is something you write on a daily basis your list may include smaller goals - something for that day only that you want to attract - that will help you to attract and achieve your greater goals. The important thing is to engage with what you're writing about as you do it and get into the habit of doing it daily, as then your reticular activating system will get to work and help you achieve. When it comes to your intentions for the day then I only write a handful of things which are an absolute MUST do activity (as few as possible as there's nothing more demotivating than staring at an unfinished to do list at the end of your day). As for affirmations, this is a declaration that something is true, so write here a couple of statements, in the present tense, of something that you either want to manifest, or just reaffirm eg "I am a highly successful internet marketer and expert in video marketing. I command global respect from my peers and clients who come to me for advice and support." You get the picture.
When to write your Attitude Journal
I find the best time to write your Attitude Journal is first thing in the morning, either before you do anything else, or, if you've got kids like me that's impossible, so I write it with my morning cup of tea and before I start any business activities. Now, as this is a daily activity then some of your listed items will inevitably be repeated, but that's fine, so long as you don't just write on auto pilot (or 'cut and paste' text if you're doing this on your computer instead of a notebook) as then you won't embed it in your subconscious mind.
The whole process should take around 10, may be 15 minutes of your time. If you're spending longer then that's too long! I am quite sure you'll at least feel the difference, if not see some results, after writing it regularly for a month and it's definitely worth getting into the habit of doing.
